Slash

Slash was a custom iOS keyboard built at a time when standalone keyboards were all about autocrrect & predictive typing. This one was different. It let people search and share any content, from Spotify songs & YouTube videos, to Amazon products & Foursquare/Yelp results, right from the typing interface, turning a keyboard into a mini search engine. We won Product Hunt’s Product of the Year award in 2015.

Then we built Tapslash, an SDK that gave any app the same instant search-and-share powers. I led the design - branding, product, marketing, everything. Slash was acquired by GIPHY at the end of 2018.
